Asus has launched its new Zenfone 3 lineup in India consisting of six smartphones. This includes the two variants of the standard zenfone 3, and the Deluxe, as well as single variants of the Zenfone 3 Laser and the Zenfone 3 Ultra. We recieved the standand variant for reviewing purpose.

ASUS ZENFONE 3: A NEW DESIGN!

This time the Zenfone 3  has been launched with multiple color options and it is made up of full frame aluminum unlike its siblings! Coming to the build quality, the Zenfone 3  is formed of aluminum and there is 2.5D Gorilla glass on the both sides. This makes the phone look really premium with shiny looks.

Asus has now moved to metal after Plastic phones. Moving to the outer look, on the front we have a notification LED , 8 MP front facing camera , ear piece and sensors on the top. There are capacitive keys on the bottom . On to the back, we have a 16 MP camera with a dual tone dual-LED flash and a fingerprint scanner . The fingerprint scanner has been positioned nicely and it will be there when you’ll place your finger on the back.  The power button and the volume keys are on the right, and a 3.5mm headphone jack  and secondary noise cancelation mic can be found on the top . And finally we have the USB Type-C port , primary microphone and speakers can be found on the bottom.

HARDWARE

Coming to the hardware , inside it holds the Snapdragon 625 . Well, it might not seem that much convincing, but the phone scored well in benchmark test. Zenfone 3 comes in two memory variants viz 32 GB/3 GB  RAM , and 64GB/4GB RAM. Apparently, the bigger one seems much better! Also, Zenfone 3 has fantastic m
emory optimization so the performance will be smooth!
The fingerprint scanner works great. With a quick tap, you can unlock your phone and also, this the first Zenfone to feature a fingerprint scanner. So, it offers the best security.

CAMERA

Zenfone 3
The camera is not bad for price . The Asus Zenfone 3 features a 16MP primary camera with Four-Axis Optical Image Stabilization. It is the same thing we have seen on the Zeenfone Zoom . The photos looked good without any over exposure , the dynamic range was good , and it is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30 frames/sec that is great! And now coming up to the front camera, there is an 8MP snapper with Asus Beauty Mode. Well, I’m not a selfie addict but if you’re, then this mode is for you. Overall, the camera module is great!

THE BATTERY!

Asus phones always surprise everyone with their insane battery life. Zenfone Max is an example! The Zenfone 3 too, comes with an incredible battery life that will stay with you a whole day easily. It houses a 3,000 mAh battery that works really well. It is non-removable. It takes almost one and half hour to charge completely and lasts a full day easily. So, no battery issues at all!

FINAL WORDS

I feel the phone is not bad. Now going with pros and cons, the best part of the smartphone is build and camera. I’m in love with Zenfone 3’s camera. That battery life is insane.  Overall the phone was comfortable to use. Everything is great in the Zenfone 3 despite the custom skin that Zenfones have . The Zen UI ! Also, the phone is a fingerprint magnet so you better go with a .Asus has kept the pricing a bit high but well, it is a great smartphone to spend money on!.
