In year 2019, Infinix has launched quite a few phones in the sub-Rs 10,000 segment in India and made a successful comeback with its "Hot" series. Infinix have launched hot 8 in September 2019 making it one of the best selling phone after its launch. It is the only smartphone in India having 4GB +64 GB with triple cameras and which is selling for INR 6,999/- 

Design and Colour

The brand has made its mark in the highly competitive phone market. The latest Infinix Hot 8 smartphone with drop notch display looks like any other budget smartphone from the front. The phone comes in four color options – Quetzal Cyan, Cosmic Purple, Shark Grey and Midnight Black. 

Phone offers multi-card slot, which includes dedicated slots for SIM cards and a microSD card. Infinix has added a micro-USB port at the bottom, which we thing could have been replaced by type C for better positioning but still package is value for money.

Display

Infinix Hot 8 sports a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 720x1600 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. It is a waterdrop notch display. It offers 500nits brightness and 90.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone measures 165 x 76.3 x 8.7mm and weighs about 179 grams.

color output is well defined, and sunlight legibility is good too - overall, this is one of the better displays you will see in this price segment with so many features

Camera

The primary camera gives reasonably good shots in daylight - sharpness and details are decent.

Selfies come out nicely too. It offers triple camera setup at back and which you will find rarely in this price segment.

Battery

Excellent battery life with a 5000mAh battery - you should get a comfortable 2 days of use. On heavy usage we were able to get 2 days of battery and still we left with 29% of battery. we have tested heavy graphics games with music playback and continuous web surfing.

Overall Review

I haven't expected a INR 6,999 smartphone to deliver high gaming experience but it offered more than the expectations. The Infinix Hot 8 is powered by a Octa-core 2.0 GHz Helio P22 Cortex-A53 processor which handles your daily tasks with ease. 

The powerful 5000 mAh battery and triple camera are the features that we liked the most in this price point. 


we rate this device 9/10 due to its value for money proposition and we cut 1 point for missing type C feature which could have made this extremely hot selling. our final verdict is 9/10 for this amazing package.
