Snapdragon 835 Benchmarked, Xiaomi Mi6 Price and More - Smartphone News Roundup

Qualcomm Snapdragon

Greetings Smartphone Enthusiasts,

Do I have some news for you today! We'll start with the first proper Snapdragon 835 benchmark result! Yesterday we received a screenshot from the most popular CPU benchmark - Geekbench, actually showing a true Snapdragon 835's CPU Potential!

(Snapdragon 835 will feature 4xKryo 280 Cores with 4xA53 Cores)

As you can see results are quite solid, but a bit behind Huawei's already released Kirin 960 found in the Mate 9

On top of that, we have Huawei P10 incoming with Kirin 965, that will boost clock speeds by 10%, so expect a higher score, so while Snapdragon 835's CPU scores are solid, they won't be the best on the market.

Speaking of Snapdragon 835, Xiaomi's Mi6 is definitely coming with the same chip, but it might be clocked lower than competitors, as this slide was leaked from a Xiaomi presentation by an employee.

Xiaomi Mi6

Xiaomi is gearing for an early March release for their next flagship - Mi6! The Price is supposed to be around 350$/24000Rs for the 4GB/64GB Version of the Mi6! Since we are on Qualcomm topic, new reports today indicate that LG's G6

might even be packing Snapdragon 820, and not 821 as previously reported. A new geekbench score of an LG H871 device with 6GB RAM and QHD display was submitted to Geekbench, and with MWC 2017 just a few weeks away, we could be in for a real shock!

LG already announced that the G6 will cost around 700-800$ and if it's packing the "old" Snapdragon 820, it will be really hard to justify that price, but perhaps Camera, Audio and other features might compensate for that.

In other news, PC component and Smartphone vendor ASUS is gearing to release the 4th iteration of its Zenfone line! That's right folks, Zenfone the flagship-killer phone is coming back and this time it means business!

Coming with a 5.7-inch QHD display, 6GB RAM, 21MP Rear camera with 4K recording and Snapdragon 820 and Android 7.0 with Asus's sleek ZenUI!

Pricing is kept under wraps, as is design, but we can definitely assume that it will be within the 350$ price range and if the camera is as impressive as the one on the Zenfone 3(you can check out my review of the superb Zenfone 3)

I am definitely looking forward to it!
