Samsung S8 and LG G6 New Details - SMARTPHONE NEWS ROUNDUP!

Today a few important news piece came out about maybe the two most highly anticipated flagships of 2017 - LG G6 and Samsung S8.

It has been confirmed that Samsung S8 will be the only phone to launch in March with

Snapdragon 835!

Before we explain, I'll leave you to enjoy this latest and cutest Snapdragon commercial yet!

Back to the news, Qualcomm has sold exclusively the first batch of their latest Snapdragon 835 chips and for at least a month, there will be no other phone you can get with the Snapdragon 835!

But wait, there's more!

Samsung S8's camera is reported to feature a dual ADC(Analog-To-Digita-Converter) camera sensor!
This is huge news, since the analog camera sensor offers much, much more accurate colour depth, light and shadows in the picture, however nobody know how Samsung is pulling it off, because those ADC modules are huge, and we can't figure out exactly how they will be able to put in a phone!

And here come the "bad" news of packing all of these features and the only Snapdragon 835 chip in town - PRICE!

That's right people, I predicted a few months ago, that the S8 will probably cost ~900$ 

and I was right!

The base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB Storage(that's right there won't be a 32GB model and thank god for that, but there will be a 4GB RAM model for the EU)
 will cost ~890$ in Korea and China, with the 8GB RAM/128GB option to cost ~1000$!

Now, back to LG

LG have confirmed that their new flagship LG G6 will not feature Snapdragon 835, but last year's Snapdragon 821, when it will be unveiled at the end of this month at the MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain.

To elaborate on that, LG have also announced that the G6 will be IP68 water and dust resistant and won't be modular(sorry G5 fans, LG kinda left you hanging)

LG G6 will continue the trend and have Dual-Cameras on the back, but unlike Huawei's P9 their setup is one narrow and one wide sensor, like in the G5 and V20.

There is no information, but we expect new and improved Sony sensors for both cams.

Today we also received what appears to be the first real pictures of the G6!

The construction looks very solid and nothing like what we expected! Other companies are trying to get their phones to match the look of the Xiaomi Mi MIX that was so popular, but apparently, LG is focused on the opposite - 

PROVIDING A PHONE THAT IS BUILT TO LAST!

LG G6 is certain to feature a 5.7-inch QHD display with 4-6GB RAM variants and will be the first G-series phone to NOT FEATURE A REMOVABLE BATTERY! LG G6 will launch before Samsung S8(probably 2-3 weeks before that)but it's facing a major handicap, since it's price is announced to be around ~750$ range for the base model. In my books LG has to seriously up their game if they want to stay in the business! With Samsung S8 coming weeks after G6 and will cost more, but let's face it, if you are willing to spend 750$ on a G6, you probably have the extra 150$ to go for the S8.
