Nokia Flagship with Snapdragon 835 to be called Nokia P1

New sources today suggested that the Nokia 8(previously known flagship), might actually be called P1(Performance 1).

The new flagship will feature Qualcomm's newest flagship processor Snapdragon 835 and will be shown in the Mobile World Congress(MWC)2017 .

Mobile World Congress is the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry, organised by the GSMA and held in the Mobile World Capital Barcelona, 27 February - 2 March 2017

For those of you who don't know, the MWC is the biggest smartphone confgress in the world and is held annually in Barcelona, Spain.

Last year LG debuted the G5, Samsung debuted the S7 and S7 Edge and many more devices were unveiled.
This year LG will probably debut the G6, and it's rumoured that Huawei will introduce the P10, so Nokia P1 will have some big competition.

What does our "old friend" Nokia have to upset the competition?

Rumours suggest that the design of the P1 will be based on the Japanese Sharp Aquos Xx3

The design will also feature a splash and dust proof rating of IP57, that is good, but shy of the IP67 rating that Samsung S8 and LG G6 are planning to introduce.

One thing is for sure, performance won't be an issue with the MONSTER - Snapdragon 835

Samsung S8 and LG G6 are also coming with Qualcomm's latest flagship chip, so results will be on par.

The display will be made by Sharp(naturally)

and will be QHD (2560x1440) with 120Hz refresh rate(for Google Daydream VR) at 5.3-inches, covered with the latest Gorilla Glass 5 or Sapphire Glass technology.

The Nokia P1 will have 6 and 8 GB RAM modes with 128 and 256 GB internal storage(without SD card).

For the Camea Nokia chose to go for a single camera sensor on the back, with the leak suggesting a

Flagship 22.56MP Sony Exmor IMX318 camera sensor(same as the Mi Note 2), but with much improved Carl Zeiss optics and best-in-class Optical Image Stabilization(OIS).

That could mean it will have a 6-axis OIS(which is currently the best option), or some kind of combined mechanical and electonic stabilization that we have not seen yet.

The last part of the leak is the most dire one, and that is PRICING.
The Nokia P1 is rumoured to be available for ~800 $, which is a very high price, but quality never came cheap, and even the old Nokia flagships were much more expensive than the competition.
On the other hand Samsung's S8 and LG G6 are also rumoured to be around the same price, even more.

Will all of these features be enough to justify the heavy price tag?

Will the Nokia P1 hold it's own against Samsung S8, LG G6 and Huawei P10?
