HTC Desire 728G to Launch in India at Rs. 17990

HTC, after launching its One E9s Dual SIM smartphone in India earlier this month, is reportedly set to launch a new smartphone under its Desire lineup - the Desire 728G Dual SIM.

The smartphone is said to come with a price tag of Rs. 17,990 according to an established Mumbai-based smartphone retailer. The post by Mahesh Telecom calls the smartphone the HTC Desire 728 "World Phone" Dual SIM, and points to its GSM-GSM+CDMA support, making it a variant of the HTC Desire 728 Dual SIM that was launched in China last month.

The Desire 728 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS LCD display, and is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.
In the photography department, the smartphone features a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with BSI sensor, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera up front. Both the cameras are capable of recording 1080p videos.
The smartphone also features BoomSound stereo speakers up front, and a 2,800mAh battery that the company claims is good enough up to 21 hours or talktime and up to 485 hours on standby mode. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop wrapped under Sense UI.

There’s no word about the exact availability date for the handset, but we’ll keep an eye on the news and update you as soon as we hear anything more about the exact availability date for the handset. Anyone interested in picking up the handset when it launches in India?
