Sharp Aquos S2 smartphone to launch in India in next month
NEW DELHI: Sharp unveiled its SHARP LCD-70SX970A television and SHARP AQUOS S2 smartphone at the annual consumer electronics show CES 2018 in Las Vegas, US. The company has now revealed that it will be launching the both the devices in India in the first week of February this year.
The Sharp Aquos S2 uses the FFD (Free Form Display) technology to overcome the camera and sensor layout problems as it creatively opens the screen notch and embeds the front camera along with proximity sensors ambient light sensors under the notch.
The company claims that the design of the device ensures a larger screen ratio while provides users a better selfie experience. The 84.95% high screen-to-body makes it easy for the user to hold the device and capture better selfies.
Along with this, the Sharp Aquos S2 also uses the global first moulding 5 curved surface 3D glass craft for display.
On the other hand, the Sharp TV offers 16 times more resolution than the standard 2090P screen, more vivid color, and cadmium-free wide color gamut. With its awesome technical and unrivalled super HD screen, SHARP TV has made a milestone in the industry.
The company also revealed that both the devices also received an award the tech show CES 2018, earlier this month.

Sharp Aquos S2 Brief Description
Sharp Aquos S2 is a stylish almost bezel less display phone which has a metal and glass body. It comes in two variants: one premium and the other affordable. The premium variant is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 6 GB RAM, Adreno 512 GPU ans 128GB internal memory, while the affordable one comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, 4 GB RAM, Adreno 508 GPU ans 64GB internal memory.
Sharp Aquos S2 Smartphone was launched in August 2017, comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD Plus LCD Capacitive Touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2040 pixels at a pixel density of 420 pixels per inch. The screen is also protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass Scratch Resistant display.
The phone is 7.9-mm thin , and tips the scale at 140 grams. The phone is powered by a 2.2 Ghz Octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 & 660 processor and it comes with 4 & 6 GB of RAM. What this means is the processor has Octa cores in the CPU and 4 & 6 GB of RAM ensures the phone runs smoothly with multiple applications open simultaneously. The Sharp Aquos S2 also packs in a graphics processor, and 64 & 128 GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 128 GB via a microSD card.
The Sharp Aquos S2 runs Android 7.1 OS and is powered by a 3020 mAh battery. Its a Dual SIM Smartphone, and connectivity options on the Sharp Aquos S2 include , GPS, HotSpot, NFC,Wifi,Bluetooth.
The main camera on the Sharp Aquos S2 is a 12 & 8 MP shooter with Auto Focus, Face Detection, HDR, Panorama Mode, Geo-tagging, Touch Focus, Digital Zoom, Video Recording. The smartphone also has a Front Facing Camera capable of shooting 8 MP selfies.
