Will the Jio Policy work?


Turbulence has stirred in the telecom industry with the bombastic entry of Reliance Jio. The free trial has ensured a huge user base for Jio. The user base is the profit for the company.

In this initial phase of Jio, RJIL is not concerned about monetary profits, all Jio is concerned about is providing customer with 4G experience, like never before. Hence, we point out that Jio is a customer centric company and is a bad competition to other telecom companies.

The Jio strategy is going to bring user loss and monetary loss to other companies. Now, companies are competing by cutting on their profit and giving customer slashed data rate.

If we consider the average amount of data used by a jio customer, it ranges from GBs to TBs. The free data usage has hiked up like never before. Jio will still continue the free trial till 31st March 2017. The strategy might seem like a one of loss right now, but with the number of jio fans exponentially growing, it is a long term strategy.
